Oh hey, look at this fancy pants NYC Subway map designed by Max Roberts, a psychologist at the University of Essex:
It’s similar to a London Tube map he designed earlier this year, also based off of concentric circles. Looks cool, right? Some people seem to take major issue with the geographic inaccuracy, but Massimo Vignelli’s 1972 Subway Map (so beloved by us design folk!) is anything but spatially accurate, sooo… what way do we want it, people? Form or utilitarian function?
